We are one of the premier salons in the North West for creative styling and colouring.

'Creative Hair Colouring - Our Speciality'

We use Koleston colour, by Wella. Wella are acknowleged leaders in the field of hair colour formulation and this high quality product, gives a deeper, truer colour with more shine and better condition. It is long lasting, with less fade than many other products on the market.

We use all the colouring techniques including full head, partial colouring, foils and spatulas.

Our Hair Colour Expertise
Our staff are regularly enrolled on Wella’s hair colour training sessions. Examples are:-

Corrective Colour
Developing expertise in correcting colouring that has gone wrong – either home attempts, or even other salon treatments that are not up to standard.

Creative Colour
On these sessions, our staff learn the latest techniques and the newest ways of putting colour into your hair. Examples are Colour Flash, Colour Flow and Shine Line.

We now offer sew on weave, 100% Russian human hair extensions. These extensions are of the highest quality.

The extensions are easy on your hair, have a very natural look and are easy to maintain. Our specialist stylist has been trained in human hair extension technology and application.

The Salon

Conveniently located on the ground floor of the Concourse Shopping Centre in Skelmersdale, the main salon is light, airy and fully air-conditioned. There is a large reception, seating and wardrobe area. The salon has a pleasant relaxed atmosphere and clients can select from a range of hot and cold beverages including mineral water, fruit juices, tea and a range of coffees.

We have full disability access for wheel chairs.

Our Staff

We have ten fully qualified stylists. All have achieved Level 3 NVQ standard and have completed the Wella Creative Cutting course. Many of the staff also have the Wella MCA (Master Colour Award).

At Trimmers, great emphasis is placed on training and development. Salon proprietor Daryl Gibbs says “ For us, training is of paramount importance. We take great pride in the way that we develop our staff but there are also very good reasons for doing so. Trends in hair dressing move so quickly that you can very easily find yourself left behind. We work hard to stay at the forefront of the business, we ensure that we are in tune with every development ‘as it is breaking’. Both our clients and staff appreciate this ”.
